Finally got up the will to start on these, great sculpts but poor execution.

I really enjoyed painting this figure, I picked it up at Salute last year. I tried to give an effect on the base that the bricks are being lifted up as he leaps into the air, not sure its entirely effective though.

Normans for SAGA

Well it has been a while since I last posted, or painted. Im back playing SAGA so here are some Perry Normans finally finished and based. Taken with my phone camera, good macro mode but they seem a bit dark. Might be because its a gloomy day outside. These are all Perrys, so poor casting all round. Next projects. Finish 4 more Norman cavalry on the workbench. A secret project I have been working on, possibly too ambitious for my abilities. Then make a start on the Sedition Wars plastics, which are a bit of a disappointment (due to the casting).

Antimatter Games - DeepWars Fortune Hunters

I contributed to the Kickstarter back in March and now have all the starter box sets and rules book. The fortune hunters are still a work in progress, detailing to be finished. I painted them first as what attracted me to this game was the diver with speargun sculpted by Brother Vinni. A nice touch is that all the figures have scenic, coral effect, base inserts. As I am a diver myself I thought it would be fun to give them a retro oiled leather and brass helmet look.

Saga - Almoravids

Played a few games of SAGA and I am a convert. I took this as an opportunity to finish and rebase some Gripping Beast figures I used as WAB Almoravids. In SAGA I will treat them as scots. Also, are these the first figures I have based for years?

GZG Giant Mech

Well, Inso beat me too it... Still a few bits of touching up to do, a lot of lead for the money. A bit rough round the edges, but good value IMO. It probably went overboard with the pinning, but the attatchment points are very large so a good glue would suffice. The emphasis on the pinning is why the posture is a bit strained, hard to line up everything.

Back to the Jack Carter project provided my hellishly busy work doesnt interfere.

How on earth do I reply to comments on my own blog? Doesnt matter how I log in or what settings I change there is no way for me to do it. Very frustrating! I just deletes what I write every time I press publish.
